Note: Refers to a Mesolithic tool culture named after the site at the "big bog," "magle mose" in Danish, near Mullerup, Denmark, and evident in northern Europe from about 9,000 to 5,000 BCE. It was created by a forest people who settled along rivers and lakes as the glaciers retreated, and there developed new tools to deal with the changing environment, including stone microliths, axes, bows and arrows, fish hooks, wooden paddles, canoes, and fishnets. Artistic activities included the creation of designs on tools and decorative objects, including amulets and pendants.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de cultuur van mesolithische werktuigen die is genoemd naar de archeologische vindplaats in het veen nabij het Deense Mullerup. De cultuur bestond in noordelijk Europa van circa 9.000 tot 5.000 v Chr. Het ontstond door een bosvolk dat zich na het terugtreden van de gletsjers langs de rivieren en meren vestigde en daar nieuwe gereedschappen ontwikkelde om in de veranderende omgeving te kunnen overleven. Deze gereedschappen waren stenen microlithen, bijlen, pijlen en bogen, vishaken, houten peddels, kano’s en visnetten. De artistieke activiteiten bestonden uit het aanbrengen van dessins op werktuigen en decoratieve objecten, zoals amuletten en hangers.

Fue creado por un pueblo del bosque que se estableció a lo largo de los ríos y lagos cuando los glaciares se retiraron, y allí desarrolló nuevas herramientas para tratar con el cambio de ambiente, que incluyen hachas microlíticas de piedra, arcos y flechas, anzuelos de peces, remos de madera, canoas, y redes de pescador. Las actividades artísticas incluyeron la creación de diseños en las herramientas y los objetos decorativos, incluyendo amuletos y pendientes.
