Note: A type of white marble with a medium fine texture from Lee, Massachusetts. It can sometimes be light gray in appearance. A small band of Lee marble was used in the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. but it proved too costly; it was, however, used to build parts of the Capitol in the 1850s.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Type wit marmer met middelfijne structuur afkomstig uit Lee, Massachusetts. Het kan soms lichtgrijs van uiterlijk zijn. Een dunne band Lee marmer is gebruikt in het Washington-monument in Washington, D.C. maar het bleek te duur te zijn. Het is echter wel gebruikt in sommige delen van het Capitool, dat werd gebouwd in de jaren 50 van de 19de eeuw. 
Spanish ..... Tipo de mármol blanco con una textura medio fina proveniente de Lee, Massachusetts. Puede a veces ser de color gris claro. Una pequeña banda de mármol de Lee fue utilizada en el Monumento a Washington de Washington, D.C., pero se constató que era demasiado caro. Sin embargo, una parte se utilizó para edificar partes del Capitolio en la década de 1850.
