Note: Painting technique in which wet paint is applied to a dry ground. Given that this is the more usual way of applying paint, the term is typically used only when needed to distinguish it from painting techniques that apply wet paint to a wet ground or wet paint. For example, with the art of Jackson Pollock, where the artist used both methods.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Schildertechniek waarbij natte verf wordt aangebracht op een droge ondergrond. Aangezien dit de normale manier is om te schilderen, wordt de term normaal gesproken alleen gebruikt ter onderscheiding van schildertechnieken waarbij verf op een natte ondergrond of op natte verf wordt aangebracht, bijvoorbeeld bij het werk van Jackson Pollock, een schilder die beide methoden gebruikte.
