Note: A wine-colored organic colorant from various sources; originally made with cochineal or brazilwood dye. In the 19th century, aniline dyes were used to make Vienna lake. None of the colorants are permanent and are usually restricted to interior house paints.

| Dutch ..... Een wijnkleurig organisch pigment dat oorspronkelijk werd gemaakt met verfstof uit cochenille of brazielhout. In de 19e eeuw werden er anilineverfstoffen gebruikt om dit pigment te maken. Geen van de kleurmiddelen zijn permanent en ze worden vrijwel alleen gebruikt voor verf voor binnenschilderwerk. |
