Note: An inorganic blue pigment that is a complex ferric ferricyanide that is produced by reacting a ferrous salt with potassium ferricyanide, produced as an intermediate in the production of Prussian blue but not the same compound. Turnbull's blue is not used as a paint pigment, but in making blueprints. Blueprint paper is sensitized with ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide. When the paper is exposed to light, the ferric ions are reduced to ferrous ions.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 一種無機藍色顏料，是亞鐵鹽和鐵氰化鉀共同作用所得的合成鐵氰化鉀，可說是製造普魯士藍過程的中間體，不過並非相同合成物。滕氏藍不做為繪畫顏料，而是用來製繪藍圖。藍圖對檸檬酸鐵銨和鐵氰化鉀過敏。當紙張暴露在光下時，鐵離子會減成亞鐵離子。 |
| Dutch ..... Een anorganisch blauw pigment dat een complex ijzerferrocyanide is en dat ontstaat door een ferrozout te laten reageren met kaliumferrocyanide. Het is een tussenproduct bij de productie van Pruisisch blauw, maar het is niet dezelfde verbinding. Turnbull's blue wordt niet gebruikt als verfpigment, maar bij het maken van blauwdrukken. Blauwdrukpapier is gesensibiliseerd met ijzerammoniumcitraat en kaliumferrocyanide. Wanneer het papier wordt blootgesteld aan licht, worden de ijzerionen gereduceerd tot ferro-ionen. |
