Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Familie van elf soorten in vier genera, waaronder die van de gestreepte skunks en stinkdassen. Ze hebben redelijk lange lichamen met tamelijk korte, gespierde poten, een gestreepte vacht en extreem goed ontwikkelde anale geurklieren. Daarmee produceren ze stinkende geurstoffen waarmee ze vijanden afschrikken. De lange klauwen aan de voorpoten gebruiken ze om mee te graven.
