Note: Formerly considered a separate phylum; now generally classified as an order of annelids. Contains primarily marine invertebrate sausage-shaped organisms, that have lost their segmentation, found in sand and mud of tropical and subtropical seas. A flattened extension of the head is curved along its lateral edges and sometimes shaped like a scoop or spoon to form a nonretractable anterior proboscis. Some respiration probably takes place across the body wall, but the hind gut is often utilized as a respiratory organ by drawing water through the anus. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 主要為海生無脊椎有機體的門;外型似香腸,頭部有扁平的突出物,沿著側面邊緣捲曲,有時形狀似勺或匙,在前部形成一個無法往回縮的吻。雖然能透過體壁進行呼吸作用,但是牠們通常會以後腸作為呼吸器官,將水從肛門吸入。 |
Dutch ..... Stam van voornamelijk worstvormige ongewervelde zeeorganismen met een plat uitsteeksel op de kop die langs de zijkanten gebogen is en soms de vorm heeft van een schep of lepel en een niet-intrekbaar voorste zuigorgaan vormt. De dieren ademen waarschijnlijk deels via de lichaamswand, maar vaak gebruiken ze de achterste darm als ademhalingsorgaan door water via de anus naar binnen te zuigen. |
