Note: Dolls with moving parts, similar to "jumping-jacks," particularly those used by children in ancient Greece. They were typically made of wood, bone, ivory, marble, cloth, wax, alabaster, or terracotta, with articulated arms and legs that were made separately and attached to the doll's body with cords, which allowed the limbs to move. Earliest examples date to about 800 BCE.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Poppen met bewegende delen, vergelijkbaar met ‘trekpoppen’, in het bijzonder die voor kinderen in het oude Griekenland. Ze werden meestal gemaakt van hout, been, ivoor, marmer, stof, was, albast of terracotta, met scharnierende armen en benen die apart werden gemaakt en aan de romp van de pop werden bevestigd met koorden, waardoor de ledematen konden bewegen. De vroegste voorbeelden dateren uit circa 800 v. Chr.
