Note: Refers to strings of Muslim prayer beads in which units of 99, 33, or other numbers, represent the names of God; they are thought to have originated in Persia. They are typically made of made of wood, bone, or precious stones, with the ends bound together. As the beads are touched one by one, Muslims may recite any of numerous formulas, the most common being "Glory to Allah." Also, since prayer may also be recited in the secret of one's heart, a person can multiply his praises of God by merely moving the beads through his fingers while engaged in conversation.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar islamitische bidsnoeren met kralen waarin eenheden van 99, 33 of andere getallen de namen van God symboliseren; de gebedskralen, die oorspronkelijk uit Perzië afkomstig zouden zijn, zijn meestal vervaardigd uit hout, been of edelstenen, met aan elkaar geknoopte uiteinden. Moslims raken de kralen een voor een aan en zeggen daarbij een van de talloze mogelijke gebedsformules op, meestal 'Glorie zij Allah'. Aangezien een gebed ook in stilte vanuit het hart mag worden uitgesproken, kan men zijn loftuitingen aan God verveelvoudigen door tijdens een gesprek de kralen door de vingers te laten gaan. 
Spanish ..... Referido a una cuerda de cuentas de oración musulmana en el cual unidades de 100, 25, o 33, representan los nombres de Dios. Tipicamente son hechos de madera, hueso, o piedras preciosas. Como las cuentas son tocadas una a una, lso musulmanes recitan alguno de los numerosos rezos, el más común es "Gloria a Ala." También, ya que las oraciones pueden ser recitadas en el secreto del corazón, una persona puede multiplicar sus oraciones de Dios, moviéndo solamente las cuentas a través de sus dedos mientras está en conversación.
