Dutch ..... Verwijst naar lage ladekasten met daarop een spiegel die doorgaans in slaap- of kleedkamers worden gebruikt voor de uiterlijke verzorging en om kledingstukken en toiletartikelen in op te bergen. In deze context wordt de term vooral gebruikt in de Verenigde Staten, en de Engelse term 'dresser' is afgeleid van het Europese begrip 'keukenkast (wandkast)', dat bestaat uit laden met planken daarop, maar wordt gebruikt om keukengerei in op te bergen. 
German ..... Bezieht sich auf eine niedrige Kommode, häufig mit einem aufgesetzten Spiegel und normalerweise in einem Schlaf- oder Ankleidezimmer als ein Ort zum Sich-zurecht-Machen sowie zum Lagern von Kleidung, Wäsche und Toilettenartikel genutzt. Der [englische] Ausdruck "dressers (chests of drawers)" wird in diesem Kontext vorrangig in Nordamerika verwendet und geht zurück auf den in Europa verwendeten Ausdruck "dressers (cupboards)" (Dressoir/Anrichte) für ein Möbelstück, das Schubladen enthält mit aufgesetzten Regalböden, das aber für die Aufbewahrung von Küchenutensilien und Geschirr genutzt wird. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere a cómodas bajas con un espejo montado y usualmente usada en un dormitorio o vestidor como una superficie para arreglar y almacenar vestuario y artículos de tocador. El término en este contexto es usado principalmente en América, y deriva del "dresser (aparador)" europeo, que tiene cajoneras y con cajones montados, pero es usado para almacenar utensilios de cocina y vajillas.
