Dutch ..... Soort crinolinestoel, ontwikkeld door het Afrikaanse Asantevolk naar het Europees prototype, versierd met koperen kopspijkers, met een lage schuin aflopende rug en meestal een lederen zitting; alleen gebruikt door hooggeplaatste of hooggeëerde personen. 
German ..... Typus eines Farthingale-Stuhles, der vom Volk der Aschanti in Afrika nach dem europäischen Vorbild entwickelt wurde, mit Messingnägeln verziert ist, über eine niedrige, geneigte Rückenlehne und über eine häufig mit Leder bespannte Sitzfläche verfügt; war allein hochrangigen oder ehrwürdigen Personen vorbehalten. 
Spanish ..... Tipo de silla farthingale desarrollada por el pueblo Asante de África siguiendo el prototipo europeo, decorada con tachuelas de bronce, tienen un respaldo inclinado bajo y a menudo con un asiento cubierto en cuero, usado sólo por personas de alto rango u honor.
