Note: Refers to a type of animation cel set-up, or grouping, that is composed of two or more cels and a production background that was created by, or imitates those created by, the Courvoisier Galleries in the late 1930s and early 1940s. It is distinctive in the technique by which figures were trimmed to their edges, glued to a background typically composed of wood veneer, patterns, or hand-painted watercolors, and covered by a protective top cel.

Verwijst naar een bepaald type opstelling van animatiecellen, bestaande uit twee of meer cellen en een productieachtergrond die is gemaakt door – of een imitatie is van werk uit – de Courvoisier Galleries aan het eind van de jaren 30 en het begin van de jaren 40 van de 20ste eeuw. Ze zijn gemaakt volgens een speciale techniek waarbij de figuurtjes precies bij de randen zijn uitgesneden en geplakt op een achtergrond die meestal bestond uit houtfineer, patronen of handgeschilderde aquarellen en bedekt met een beschermende toplaag. |

Se refiere al tipo de estructura o agrupación de animación de celuloide compuesta por dos o más papeles en una producción de fondo que fue creado por las Galerías Courvoisier o que imita los fondos creados por ella, a fines de 1930 y comienzos de 1940. Se distingue por la técnica por la cual las figuras eran recortadas en sus bordes, pegadas a un fondo usualmente compuesto de chapas de madera, modelos o acuarelas pintadas a mano y cubiertas por una lámina de celuloide cobertor. |
