Note: Close-fitting caps or hairnets usually of gold, silver, silk, or wool thread, often decorated with pearls or beads and made to confine hair; worn by women and sometimes by men especially during the 13th through the 16th century. For hairnets used to confine hair at the back of the neck or attached to the back edge of a hat, use "snoods."

Chinese (traditional) ..... 緊貼的無邊帽或髮網,通常由金、銀、絲或羊毛線製成,常飾以珍珠或珠子,用以固定頭髮。主要於十三至十六世紀期間,由女性穿戴,有時亦由男性穿戴。若指用以在頸後固定頭髮,或附在有邊帽子後沿的髮網,則稱「髮套」。 
Dutch ..... Nauwsluitende kappen of haarnetjes die meestal van goud-, zilver-, zijde- of woldraad zijn gemaakt, vaak versierd met parels en kralen en bedoeld om het haar op de plaats te houden. Werden door vrouwen gedragen en soms ook door mannen, vooral van de 13e tot de 16e eeuw. Gebruik 'chignons' voor haarnetjes die worden gebruikt om het haar achterin de nek bijeen te houden of die aan de achterrand van een hoed zijn bevestigd. 
German ..... Eng sitzende Haube oder Haarnetz, gewöhnlich aus Gold-, Silber-, Seide- oder Wollgarn, oft mit Perlen oder Kunstperlen geschmückt um Haare zusammen zu halten; von Frauen und manchmal von Männern getragen; insbesondere während des 13. bis hin zum 16. Jahrhundert. Für ein Haarnetz, das genutzt wird, um Haar auf der Halsrückseite oder an der Rückenkante eines Hutes einzufassen, verwende "snood". 
Spanish ..... Gorra o red muy ajustada, por lo general de oro, plata, seda o lana tejida; frecuentemente decorada con perlas o abalorios y realizada para encerrar el pelo. Es llevada por las mujeres y, en ocasiones, por los hombres, especialmente durante los siglos XIII a XVI. Para redes utilizadas para encerrar el pelo en la parte trasera del cuello o adherida al borde trasero de un sombrero, use "redecilla”.
