Note: Refers to the culture of the modern nation of Denmark, or in general to the cultures that have occupied the area of northwestern Europe, north of Germany. It is often used to refer specifically to the cultures of the historic Danes, a Scandinavian branch of the Teutons. It is also sometimes used to refer to the culture of all Scandinavians who invaded England from the 9th century to the 11th century CE. |
