Note: European staff weapons having a long blade with one cutting edge, convex or of flattened S-shape, divided at the top into a vertical spike and a forward curving hook, and with a horizontal fluke in the center of the back. They were used from at least the middle of the 13th until the 17th century, and were one of the most widely used foot soldiers' weapons. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 歐洲的長柄武器,有一道單一刃口的長刀刃,呈凸形或扁平的S形,在頂端分成一根垂直的尖刺以及朝前的弧狀鉤,在刀背中央則有水平的倒鉤。至少自十三世紀就開始出現,直至十七世紀為止,是最為廣泛使用的步兵武器之一。 |

Stokwapens met een lange, convexe of platte s-vormige kling met één snijrand, aan de bovenkant verdeeld in een verticale punt en een naar voren gebogen haak, met een horizontale weerhaak in het midden van de achterkant; gebruikt in Europa, onder andere veel door voetsoldaten, vanaf tenminste halverwege de 13e eeuw tot de 17e eeuw. |
Spanish ..... Armas de asta europeas que tienen una hoja larga con un filo para cortar, convexa o en forma de una S aplanada, dividida en el extremo superior en una punta vertical y un gancho que se curva hacia delante, y un filo triangular horizontal al centro del dorso. Se usaron desde la mitad del siglo XIII hasta el siglo XVII, y fueron una de las armas más usadas por los soldados de infantería. |
