Note: Gardens or plantings that are on a steep slope, on a stepped pyramid or ziggurat, on the top of a wall, on a roof, or otherwise situated so as to hang over the ground below or to appear to float. The most famous example was the hanging gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Additional Notes:
German ..... Garten oder Anpflanzung auf einer stark abfallenden Fläche, etwa einer Stufenpyramide oder einem Zikkurat, dem Scheitel eines Walls oder einem Dach, so dass er über dem Boden zu hängen oder schweben scheint. Am berühmtesten waren die Hängenden Gärten von Babylon, die zu den sieben Weltwundern der Antike zählten.
