| Dutch ..... Tekeningen van houtskool of, minder gebruikelijk, pastelstift op een witgeverfde plaat die is voorzien van een laag marmergruis, waardoor ze uiteindelijk een schuurpapierachtige glinstering en textuur krijgen, met effecten van licht en donker als in gravures. Ze waren populair in de Verenigde Staten in het midden van de 19de eeuw. |
| Spanish ..... Dibujos en carboncillo, o menos común, en pastel sobre cartón pintado blanco y cubierto con polvo de mármol, que da al dibujo terminado el destello y textura de lija además de efectos de luz y sombra similar a grabados. Popular en Estados Unidos a mediados del siglo XIX. |
