Beaumont Newhall: Teaching a History and Inspiring a Vision

Celebrated as the first curator of the photography department at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the founding director of the George Eastman House, Beaumont Newhall was also an inspirational teacher of several generations of students. In this presentation, Sarah Greenough, curator and head of the department of photographs at the National Gallery of Art, will examine Newhall's own education and the rich legacy of his teaching.
