A Guide to the Description of Architectural Drawings

Outline of the Categories of Information

Part One of the Guide outlines a general approach to the documentation of architectural collections. Part Two focuses on the specific categories of information that compose a catalogue entry. Categories are arranged by the four principal entities, followed by Bibliographic Sources. Most of these entities are, in turn, divided into subentities, referred to hereafter as sections. Categories designated as core are in boldface type. "Linked" categories (i.e. those that need to relate other information for retrieval) are marked with an asterisk.
