CDWA is a set of guidelines for the description of art, architecture, and other cultural works. CDWA also provides a framework to which existing art information systems may be mapped, upon which new systems may be developed, or upon which data may be linked in an open environment. CDWA is mapped to the Cultural Objects Name Authority (CONA) and CIDOC CRM.
