Hellenicorama or Grecian Views is a boxed set of twenty-four cards depicting landscape views of Greece and the ruins of well-known ancient monuments. Young art students could rearrange the cards to create imaginary landscapes in order to practice watercolor technique. The cards reflect a long-standing pictorial tradition in which classical ruins form the backdrop for idyllic scenes of dancing maidens, shepherds, and rural life.
