What does OSIP do?


OSIP is the Office of Scholars, Interns, and Professionals. OSIP's aim is to help visitors invited to the Getty to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals by functioning as a resource for a variety of needs. Specifically, the department is responsible helping invited visitors transition to the Getty by providing information and assistance on issues ranging from immigration, taxation, health insurance, travel, and housing to life and culture in Los Angeles. OSIP is also responsible for coordinating visitor access to the Getty by providing access tools such as badges, parking passes, and library cards and work tools such as space, computers, and other equipment.

What are OSIP's office hours?


OSIP staff members are generally available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and off-Fridays. See the Staff Off-Friday and Holiday Schedule for more information on office closures.

Most visitors will be assigned to the Getty Center location at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Brentwood (West Los Angeles) unless otherwise directed. On occasion you may need or wish to attend meetings or events at the Getty Villa in Malibu.
