Proposals may be for either papers or posters.

>Papers: Presentations should be illustrated by Powerpoint and not exceed 15 minutes. Organizers may request that some paper submissions be presented as posters.

>Posters: There will be a designated time in the program when authors of poster contributions will be expected to be present. Posters must be 3 feet x 4 feet (90 x 120 cm), portrait format.

All proposals must be one page (standard U.S. 8 1/2 x 11 inches – please do not submit in A4) submitted as a Microsoft Word document in 12 point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins on all sides.

Please include:
Desired presentation format: paper or poster
Author(s) and affiliation(s)
Contact information (mailing address, email address, phone number)
Abstract (250 words maximum)

All papers and posters must reflect original, previously unpublished scholarship.

All proposals must be submitted in English; English is also the preferred language of presentation.

Please follow the Archaeology Institute of America's style guidelines to format papers.

The file name of the proposal should be all the authors' last names capitalized and separated by an underscore. For example, a paper by Bill Carpenter, Heather Johnson, and Mario Salas will be titled Carpenter_Johnson_Salas.docx.

A PC laptop computer with PowerPoint capability, podium with microphone, projection screen, and laser pointer will be provided. Additional equipment and software must be requested in advance if desired.


The organizing committee will review all proposals and notify those whose paper and poster submissions have been accepted by Friday, May 1, 2015.

All presenters and participants are expected to register for the Congress. Those doing so by Friday, July 31, 2015 will be eligible for a discounted "early bird" rate.
