Bill Cunningham New York
For decades, Bill Cunningham, a Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist, has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high-society charity soirées for The New York Times Style section.

The film Bill Cunningham New York, produced by Getty Museum guest scholar Philip Gefter, is a delicate, funny, and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist. Following the screening of this film, Gefter discusses the role of photography in Cunningham's work and takes questions.
