Application for the Getty Center and the Getty Villa

PLEASE NOTE: These instructions are only for Multicultural Undergraduate Internships at the Getty. Internships provide stipends of $4,000 for ten-week summer internships at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Getty Villa in Malibu, California. The internships are full time beginning June 15, 2009, and ending August 20, 2009. Health insurance, housing, and transportation are not provided. Students interested in internships at other organizations should refer to the list of available positions throughout Los Angeles County, which will be posted in April 2009.
Part 1: Complete and submit the online portion of your application (which includes uploading your Personal Statement and Supplemental Applicant Information form) by 5:00 p.m. PST, MARCH 1, 2009.
Part 2: In a single envelope, mail the following items. These materials must be received in the Foundation office by MARCH 1, 2009.
2 Letters of Recommendation (PDF, 104 KB) in sealed envelopes. Typically, the most appropriate recommenders are university faculty members or past or current employers who are familiar with your skills and abilities. Your recommenders must complete the forms and return them to you in sealed envelopes, signed across the flap. Letters of Recommendation not submitted in individual sealed envelopes or arriving separately from the mailed supplemental materials will not be considered.
1 original and 3 copies of your official undergraduate transcript(s). Transcript(s) must record at least one semester or two quarters of college after high school. If you have transferred in the past year, you must also include a transcript from your previous college or university. You may open and copy official transcripts.

Notification
Finalists will be contacted for phone or in-person interviews in late March/early April. All applicants will be notified of the Foundation's final decision in May.
