Build-a-Beast
Sundays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, July 14–July 20 & August 11–August 17 | 11:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Dragons, bonacons and bears, oh my! Create your own medieval beast at the pop-up print lab with artists Peter Foucault and Chris Treggiari from Mobile Arts Platform. Explore screen and block printing to make real or imaginary animals roam and soar across the page. Complements the exhibition Book of Beasts: The Bestiary in the Medieval World.
Garden Concerts for Kids
Saturdays and Sundays, August 3 & 4, 10 & 11, and 17 & 18 | 4:00–5:30 p.m.
Garden Concerts for Kids returns for three weekends of rockin' tunes for fidgety feet in the Getty Center's Central Garden. Enjoy the kid-friendly, sing-along tunes of Rabbit Days and Dumplings, Okee Dokee Brothers, and The Lucky Band in the great outdoors.

Creature Crawl
June 15–September 2
An activity for kids and families that lets them explore the many museums that currently have animal-themed exhibitions on view. Participants can collect puzzle pieces at each of the five participating museums and use them to create a mythical beast that kids can design and color. Families can upload their creations to www.socalmuseums.org and win prizes for their work at the end of the summer.

Making Mosaics Brick by Brick

Ancient Roman artists worked together to create incredible mosaic floors from pieces of marble and glass. Discover this enduring art form using the familiar material of colorful bricks. Build alongside Brick artist Andy Bauch to recreate mosaics inspired by the Getty Villa's collection.

Food and Snacks
The Cafe offers kid-friendly food and snacks including pizza, grilled cheese, and peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches. Families are also welcome to bring their lunch and enjoy a picnic at any of the Getty Center's public seating areas.
Strollers
Standard strollers, as well as wheelchairs, are available at the Lower Tram Station (T1) and at the coat check desk in the Museum Entrance Hall. Child-carrying backpacks are not allowed in the galleries.
Family Restroom
A family restroom equipped with a private nursing area is located in the South Pavilion. All Getty Center public restrooms have diaper-changing tables.

Always FREE! An advance, timed ticket is required for each adult. Each Villa general admission ticket allows you to bring up to three children ages 15 and under with you in one car.
