Haydn, Shostakovich, and Beethoven - A Musical Tribute to Ray Metzker

Art comes alive in two special concerts inspired by exhibitions at the Getty Center. Come early to browse the exhibition galleries, which will be open to ticketholders before each event.

Gordon Getty Concert: Rossetti String Quartet

Music was an enduring inspiration for Ray K. Metzker, the photographer whose groundbreaking work is rediscovered in the new exhibition The Photographs of Ray K. Metzker and the Institute of Design. The Rossetti String Quartet, one of today's foremost classical ensembles, celebrates the exhibition with a sparkling program of works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Shostakovitch.

Gordon Getty Concert: Lionheart
Saturday, December 1, 7:00 p.m. | The Getty Center

Discover Italy of the early Renaissance through the masterful vocal chamber music of Lionheart. The group performs beautiful songs from the pages of the Laudario of Sant'Agnese, a illuminated hymn book created around 1340 that is featured in the exhibition Florence at the Dawn of the Renaissance: Painting and Illumination, 1300–1350, opening November 13.
