125 Pennies

By Amilcar Martinez

On Friday 11/2013 at around 6 p.m., I was on the sidewalk with my sister. I was having a "sort-of" bad day. My sister showed me this ordinary dollar that was just made out of paper, and then she folded it in such an awesome shape that I wanted to take a picture of it. She saw me taking the picture and she asked me, "Why are you taking pictures?" And I answered, "Because I need to take an ordinary picture." And she said, "Here, take a picture of this dollar before I unfold it." I said, "Okay." I was surprised when I saw my photo. The theme "ordinary to extraordinary" and Abe's quote, "Paper means everything," connected to my photo.

I think this means that paper is really important because we use it for so many things, for example money. This is also important because it is just paper; it's not a big thing, but actually it has many uses.
