And what about all those antlers one can find in the woods that deer DROP
naturally? Skulls and antlers do not have to represent unneccessary killing!

Dear Joseph....I too have a respect for life....and I use flowers as another
lesson in my unit on O'Keeffe. The hunter who gave me the elk skull uses
the
meat for food and also donates meat to the soup kitchens for the homeless,
both in the US and Canada. I am not a vegitarian, but respect others who
are. I have not had any negative comments from the parents and
children...just an interest in the subject matter and O'Keeffe. I feel bad
that you feel you must criticize me on my choice of still life subject
matter
......I hope you do not eat meat, fish, eggs, or wear leather shoes.
