then they are to play around with the pieces finding 3 or more pieces to glue
down, these pieces will give them an idea of what to draw on the rest of the
paper.
for example: invariably some one finds a boot or shoe shape, with this you
can glue it down and (with pencil first) create the rest of the person, and
the scene that they are in.
a triangular piece can be a fish's tail or a piece of pizza or the top of a
house.
This is great to get them thinking in terms of shapes that make up the whole.
When the pencil drawing is finished the go over the lines in black skinny
marker.
these always make a great display. Once a kid saw that it looked like a state
on a map and proceeded to draw the rest of the United States !!
Make up an example or two to display onteh board, stress tha tthese are not
to be copied !!!!!!!
