Judy -- To get kindergarteners' attention I tell them I'm going to use my
magic fingers -- and I count silently on my fingers to 10, telling them "by
the time I get to ten it will be quiet and I'll see everybody's eyeballs".
If that doesn't work I ask them to line up at the door again and we discuss
the proper way to behave in the art room. But yes, consistency and
Patience with a capital P are important! (Keep your ears open -- you'll
hear the most amazing conversations and comments!!!)
