Please excuse cross posting

We are preparing to host a Day of The Dead installation & program for 4th
grade in our largest school district. We picked 4th because they cover
Texas History in Social Studies. We will be inviting approximately 80
classes (roughly 4 classes per school 20 elementary schools.) For this
reason, we will ask classes that participate to create a tribute to someone
they as a group respect (the person must be deceased). We are going to send
teachers a brainstormed list of people artists, historical figures, ordinary
people in extraordinary circumstances. We want to include a large number of
heroes with Hispanic Heritage. We could use some help brainstorming. Who
would you include on the list?
Thanks,
Kimberly Herbert
(It is 4 hours till the opening of our new San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts
and Education Building. Everyone's brains are starting to feel mushy)
