I noticed some interest in this a short while back and I am wondering if
there are any art historians out there who might know of some specific
art work regarding the battlefield at Gettysburg. I remember someone
mentioning Homer's work.
I am participating in a study of "Gettysburg and the Art of Sentiment."
This is part of an interdisciplinary, integrated study looking to find
out how we can move people through sentimental writing, music, art etc.
If you have any thoughts on this I would greatly appreciate it.
By the way- I read through this list faithfully- have lots of thoughts
that I would like to share but am on such overload with work and family
and graduate school that I rarely have the time.
Thank you to all of you who teach art and care about children.
