<< Are there excellent catalogs that offers
slides to purchase? Are there other electronic means to show students art
that is replacing your use of slides? Are some of you using other
technologies to help students to explore? Are you still doing slide
lectures? Any information you have will be welcome.

First off, Carole..Can I come and visit?!! I was in Honolulu in 1976 as a
graduation from HS, Please, Please!!!

Davis Publications has a great slide catalog for sets and individual slides.

I do use technology! I have a laser disc player and bar coder with discs
from the National Gallery and the Louvre. Over 3000 images! I also have a
computer hookup so that I can show internet galleries over the TV. But I
always buy slides. I just love laying them out on the light table and
picking through them. Almost like shopping! I also have access to a scanner
to scan images from books and magazines to put up on the TV via computer.
And I love taking slide from books. I have a great setup for that. I am
very fortunate that I have access to all of this. But they (Caravel) are
committed to progress and technology in the classroom. I am forever greatful.
