My kids have just been to see the moving exhibition of Children's Drawings
nad Poems from Terezin Concentration Camp. They have been doing some work
on the poetry and I want to incorporate some art with it. However, I am
afraid that I am in a bit of awe of the artwork. I don't want them to copy
it but how do I encourage my students to emulate - any ideas? If you can
get to see this particular exhibition (it is in Australia at the moment - I
don't know if it is going to America or has already been) do so. It is one
of the most moving experiences of my life. The book "...I never saw
another butterfly..." was a wonderful introduction to the exhibition.
