markers and mold

The dance teacher in my school bought some sign markers which have =
sported a growth of mold since she first opened them about a week ago. =
They are called "Redi-Markers" (I think) with 3 markers of different =
sizes that fit into the top of a cup filled with the ink. Any ideas for =
removing/preventing the mold?
