This is a response to two people--one who asked about curriculum and
another who asked about ideas for teaching aesthetics. The ArtsEdnet
site has a program called "Philosopher's Forum." Scroll to the
"Classroom Connection" part for ideas for teaching aesthetics. Also, do
you know about the "Scope and Sequence" on the ArtsEdnet site? It lists
abilities that students should have at four different levels--lower
elementary, upper elementary, middle, and high school. It also contains
sample assignments and examples of scoring criteria and rubrics.

You can get to the Scope and Sequence by going to the home page at
ArtsEdnet.getty.edu, clicking on "What's New?" and scrolling to the
bottom where you can click on January-March 1999. The Scope and Sequence
will come up. (There's probably another way, but this works for me and
my students.)
Hope this helps.
