Re: Taking advantage of sales and bargains

Hi Marcia,

Maybe we all have this problem. I'm addicted to bargains. I find them
everywhere. Seems I need plenty of extra storage to accomodate the ones in
the "maybe I'll use this one day" category. And I have the same thing about
spending, small amounts of money usually, but so regularly at yard sales and
thrift shops. I feel like I have to keep a special place in my car to keep
reciepts that are for these spontaneous finds. I'm getting better about
keeping track of the expenses as time goes on. I think that if we compose a
letter to the PTA and let the families know of our interests in these
junky/bargain bin things they might be sympathetic and offer some money. The
PTA at one of my schools gave all the teachers a small amount of money during
the parents night this year. Fifty dollars of mad money for whatever we
might need. That's nice. I keep it in an envelope in my purse, along with
reciepts for whatever I spend.

I'd love to hear more about this from others too.
