That was soooo funny to me, until I stopped and thought about it! I feel for
you. Your attitude it good, though. You will lack the "discourse" you seek,
but her observations might enlighten her...try to have a PRIMARY COLOR and
mixing lesson the day she observes! Do it with a class that you have already
taught this (like 3rds!) so they reply in the bored "weeee knooooow" and
perhaps she will "see the light."
<< She taught elementary for 20 years before becoming
a principal. She was painting something and didn't have any red so she came
to me to ask what colors you need to mix red. Even after I reminded her that
red is a primary color her response was "are you sure there aren't any
colors I can put together to make red?" She also didn't want me to order any
art prints because she felt it was over "their" heads. >>
