I'm combining our two discussions. I must wear leather shoes, or my feet
really suffer. However, sometimes I feel badly about using animals for food
and clothing. It seems that that's the way it's supposed to be, but I just
hate killing. Perhaps it's all the personification of animals in stories
and movies I saw growing up...it's like the killing of something with human
qualities. My good friend keeps pigs that she gets slaughtered every year.
I went to visit her, and her pigs this weekend. Yes, they looked dirty and
stupid but so defenseless, I almost decided not to eat meat again when I
met the victims to be slaughtered! Of course, when I got home, I ate a ham
