My school is just starting this program and they are designating different
months for the different topics -- October is responsibility.
The classroom teachers have all received their "packets", but (of course)
the specialists have received zip! All of these programs (Skills for
Growing, Character Counts, etc) seem to ignore the specialists when it
comes to implementation.
I haven't decided whether that is a blessing or a slight. Yet, I do think
it would be more effective as an approach if all the staff were 'in step'
so to speak. And, like you, I feel we are the ones who see the students
year after year. I've gone off on a different thread than the War + Peace
aspect -- sorry.
