I know this is not possible for everyone but it was a lot of fun. As part of a
sculpture unit which included a room sized installation on the impact of
violence on the lives of our students and a trip to a large local sculpture
garden, Brookgreen, to study symbolization in sculpture, we went to the beach
and created sand sculptures. They worked in groups with regular shovels to
create sculptures based on fairytales. I learned that the prince could climb
Rapunzel's hair because she had dred locks. And we had a great day at the
