It was a fabulous show! The work in the exhibit at the MOMA demonstrated
Calder's unique combination of playfulness, seriousness and serenity.
Some of the stabiles looked like they could have been weedy plants
delicately dancing in a summer's gentle breeze. I can imagine Calder being
inspired by the Connecticut countryside...
Even the shadows shapes from the sculptures created by the museum lighting
added to the delightfulness of the wire sculptures and mobiles. They were
an integral part of the whole viewing experience.
It is a show definately worth seeing!
