Re: printmaking clean-up

Took me 20 years of teaching to come up with this floor clean up idea. My
students fight over who gets to "towel walk" on our linoleum after we have
painted or used clay, etc. Even the kindergarteners can do this. I put down
2 slightly damp towel pieces (hand towel size), one for each of child's feet
and away they go. This is much easier on the back than mopping. I hope the
novelty never wears off. I put 4 children into action while the others are
taking care of the rest of clean-up. I haul the towels home in plastic bags
to wash and have asked families for any old towels they can spare. I have a
beautiful new floor so there is a lot of incentive to keep it looking decent.
The janitor can't get to it as much as I would like.
