There are two great books about color, similar to what you were doing.
Primary Colors and Secondary Colors. Unfortunately, I forget the authors
and the books are at home. Each has three chapters on the color it deal
with. Every possible association is given with each color. Very
interesting. i.e. red is for stop, blood, valentines, blushing, etc. A
very fun insightful reading experience. I had my eighth graders bring in
lists of color associations when we were studying color last year. Once
in a blue moon, the grass is always greener on the other side of the
fence, etc. A fun look at color associations. A great class opener and a
great gift for a artistic friend.
