Thank y'all. My family is well prepared for the hurricane with food stores,
and oil lamps. Spent a good part of the day boiling and bottling water for
storage as well as clearing the outside of any debris that could become a
projectile missle in high winds. Tomorrow morning, the storm panels go up
over all windows. I always dislike this part because it not only is a "pain"
but it shuts out all light in daytime. By evening tomorrow, we will "hunker
down" and wait it out with videos, audio tapes and popcorn. Hopefully, we will
maintain electricity. They say this is more "wet" a hurricane rather than the
high wind kind. High winds do more damage. We have a good drainage system in
this area and a dike that holds back the water from the Everglades. We should
