Developmental stages of drawing

This may bore or amuse some of you, but I just had to tell SOMEONE!

My 5 year old son Aaron just started using a baseline in his drawings! He
went through the scribbling stages and then just stayed there for the
_longest_ time. Then one day he drew a mandella, then the next day he was
into floating figures. In two days he went from scribbles to figures! Just
as suddenly yesterday he went from floating figures to detailed drawings using
a baseline! I find these types of developmental leaps astounding! And I love
being there to see it all too! (Can you tell I am excited?:-)

Anyway, now that I look at these stages of drawing my son has been going
through I can easily see that they are correlated with his emotional and
physical growth. This was my favorite area of study in college. And now I am
living it!

Thanks for letting me rave!!!
