I've been quietly lurking and learning here in CT. I teach in
Chester, a small town on the Connecticut River. Is anyone familiar with
how to make clay whistles or ocarinas? There was a book and a tape
published awhile back which, of course, I didn't get at the time...and
cannot recall the source of. Also, I'm especially interested in talking
with anyone who is familiar with setting up artist residencies. I need
some concrete suggestions for laying ground work that create a working
partnership between art teacher and artist. We have one coming up that
has been set up as the artist coming in as teacher for two days, me
doing the firing of the pieces she does with the kids, getting stuff
ready for her to come back... I'm having some mixed feelings. Any
suggestions? Thanks, Merrilee
