Hi --
Related to the discussion on form, I have been having 4th graders try their
hand at drawing 3-D forms with shading. I have some GLORIOUS overhead track
lighting which casts really concise shadows. One year my garden produced
strange gourds that were plain and beige -- perfect as spherical shapes
that looked pretty good when they were drawn. However, most have since
changed into what look like large raisins! I'm wondering if anyone has
good ideas for simple forms that the kids can draw from. (Glue bottles
without labels were used in a pinch but just don't seem to have the same
aesthetic appeal.....) Thanks!
