Kathleen,
On the elementary level, I use hair spray on chalk drawings and I have
had good results with it. I don't use it with students present. It is
inexpensive, too, as I buy the cheapest I can find---usually Final Net. The
clerk at Wal-Mart probably wonders why I am buying so many cans of the
stuff. Hope this helps.
